What is jessica's strength and weaknesses in design?

My strengths and passion are rooted in UX and strategic thinking. I excel when working closely with product managers, engineers, and data analysts to achieve tangible improvements in products. I also find great value in engaging directly with customers to understand their needs and challenges. While my visual design skills are solid, they are effectively supported by companies that have robust design systems in place

What is one project you’re particularly proud of, and why?

One project I’m particularly proud of is designing a mini telemedicine feature for RYGMA Health management system. By conducting thorough user research and collaborating closely with the development team, we created an intuitive experience that significantly improved access to healthcare. This feature not only enhanced user satisfaction but also increased the company’s customer base by over 30%, demonstrating the power of user-centered design in driving business growth

Why did you transition from Sales and Marketing to UX?

While my time in Sales and Marketing was incredibly rewarding, especially in understanding customer needs, I realized that I could make a broader impact by transitioning into UX Design. I wanted to craft experiences that reach a wider audience, and this shift allowed me to combine my customer insights with a passion for creative problem-solving

In what ways has your experience in Sales and Marketing shaped your approach to design??

My background in Sales and Marketing has deeply shaped my approach to design. It gave me a strong foundation in understanding customer needs and aligning solutions with their expectations. In Sales, I learned how to listen, empathize, and identify key pain points, which now informs my ability to create user-centered designs. This experience also helps me balance user needs with business objectives, ensuring that my designs are both impactful for users and effective for driving business results
